Over my career I have worked in both PLCs and SMEs, including as an owner-manager. I have faced challenges on the front line and taken part in negotiations around boardroom tables in the City, but my passion lies with the SME sector.

I enjoy helping owners build successful, well-structured businesses without losing the drive that makes them successful. Having supported and grown my own companies, I know the value of letting a team play to its strengths and bringing in the right advisers where extra support is needed.

I graduated in Economics and began my career in London’s financial sector, where I developed a strong grounding in commercial finance. Qualifications in HR and business turnaround have broadened my understanding of the challenges clients face.

I now help businesses across the UK find commercial finance solutions, whatever their size or circumstances. Over the years I have built relationships with established and specialist funders, creating a lender network that helps me support straightforward funding needs as well as unusual and complex cases.

After graduating in business and economics from the University of Wales in 2002, I joined a retail bank and then moved into mortgage broking. As the youngest recruit at a large brokerage, I looked for ways to improve the service clients received. When the firm could not move quickly enough, I founded my own whole-of-market brokerage three years later to offer the wraparound support I believed clients needed.

Over the following 15 years I built a reputation for finding solutions where others could not. I now bring that approach to life cover, helping clients choose the type and level of protection that can support their businesses and families if the worst happens. My experience across financial markets helps me guide clients through those decisions with confidence.
